Nearly thirty years in medicine, one question: how do we bring traditional knowledge together with the evidence standards of modern medicine?

He graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 1997. In 1997–1998 he served as a trainee doctor at the Royal London Hospital; he then worked as a family medicine specialist at the American Hospital in Istanbul. In 2007 he travelled to China to work with Prof. Fang Zhu, one of the pioneers of apitherapy — on his return he founded the Apitherapy Association.
Between 2019 and 2024 he headed the Department of Traditional and Complementary Medicine at Istanbul Medipol University. He is currently a faculty member at Haliç University Faculty of Medicine and serves as president of the Apitherapy Association, the Holistic and Integrative Medicine Association and the International Apitherapy Federation.
